The top companies in the sector are not content with just being known. They want to maintain their status and remain top of mind at all times however they can, be it via the media or via new innovative platforms. For this reason, one of the best-known beverage chains has teamed up with the blockchain.

This is the case with Starbucks and Polygon. In a new initiative launched by the American company, members of the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program, partners, and employees of its establishments in the US will be able to earn or purchase NFTs from digital collectible stamps.

The campaign dubbed "Starbucks Odyssey", seeks to build on the relationship with its community, focusing on those who have shown interest in everything that surrounds the company. The company chose Polygon citing the low network fees and high transaction speeds the blockchain boasts.

“We take a very thoughtful and thorough approach when evaluating which blockchain to use, and Polygon's fast, low-cost, carbon-neutral network is the perfect foundation for our first digital community,” Ryan Butz, Vice President of Loyalty, Strategy, and marketing at Starbucks.

Today, Tuesday the 13th of September the presentation for Starbucks investors will be held, the date chosen for this project to be presented. People who belong to Starbucks Rewards will enjoy different experiences, in addition to non-fungible tokens. Interactive games and various challenges centered around coffee and the company are just some of the future visions of the project.

As for Polygon, we are talking about one of the nerve centers of important Web3 projects, not to mention DeFi protocols such as Uniswap, Aave, or OpenSea. One of the co-founders of the network, Sandeep Nailwal, was present at this agreement, expressing his feelings following this partnership.

"Polygon is a natural choice for Starbucks as both companies place tremendous importance on diversity, accessibility, and sustainability."
