Despite little echo in the media, today, Thursday, September 29, a meeting on virtual and augmented reality will take place at the Telefónica District Auditorium in Madrid, led by the Spanish telecommunications multinational.
As announced on their website, at 3 p.m. CET they will open their doors to welcome all attendees face-to-face.
Those present will have the opportunity to access an area that they have called “The Playground”; an area created for attendees to experience first-hand how to make calls and video calls in the Metaverse, learn about new Marketplace formats and cryptocurrency payment systems, and experience interactive virtual and augmented reality experiences.
For those who are not lucky enough to be able to physically attend the meeting, the event will be live-streamed at around 3:55 p.m. CET and accessible via registration or through a Multi-User Virtual Environment.
After learning about the functionalities offered by this new space, the company's Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Chema Alonso, will be present, together with the Chief Metaverse Officer (CMO), Yaiza Rubio.
Both members of the company will explain how they intend to become the base platform of the Metaverse, they will discuss the new economic paradigm that this new space brings with it and how we will experience the new consumer experiences within these virtual worlds.

In addition to all this, face-to-face attendees who register on a Web App and successfully complete the activities will be able to participate in the draw for some Oculus Quest Meta.
